Narrative Designer, Animator

Project:

Research project and game concept focusing on anxiety in relation to waiting to better understand how a player perceives time in order to crate intended game experiences of happiness or stress.

Discoveries:

Endless waiting heightens distress.

When in flow, time goes faster.

Loading bars improve UX, but slow animation decrease satisfaction.

If end to waiting period is known, the final moments before the end are the most torturous which plumet the user into pessimism.

Challenge:

Create an interactive narrative prototype of a game sequence using Figma.

Concept:

Player sneaks into a bunker to hack a computer system to bypass security to reach a main frame.
